ENYO shows no ads. Your workout history lives in your own private iCloud, which we cannot read. We count how the app is used, anonymously, so we know which timers and workouts to improve.

Usage statistics

The app sends anonymous usage signals to TelemetryDeck, an analytics service built to work without personal data. A signal says that the app was opened on a given day, or that a workout was started or finished, with the timer type, the workout's name if it has one, how it ended and roughly how long it ran. Signals also carry basic technical details such as the app version, the operating system version and the device model.

Signals never include your name, your email address, your location or anything you type. The identifier attached to them is scrambled on your device with a one-way hash before it is sent, so neither TelemetryDeck nor we can turn it back into who you are. We use these numbers only to see how many people use the app and which features they use. They are never used for advertising and never sold.

Sign in with Apple

Signing in is optional and the app works fully without it. If you sign in, Apple gives the app an identifier for your account and, the first time only, the name you choose to share. Both are kept on your device, to greet you by name and to recognise you across your own devices. The identifier is also used, in hashed form, as the key for the usage statistics above, so one person counts once across an iPhone, an iPad and a watch. You can sign out at any time in Settings, or stop using Sign in with Apple for ENYO in your Apple Account settings.

What stays on your device

Your timer settings, your theme and your other preferences are saved on the device so the app opens where you left it. They never leave the device and are deleted when you delete the app.

Workout history and iCloud

Finished workouts are recorded so you can look back at them: when the workout ran, which timer, how long it took, how many rounds you got through, the movements it listed and the settings it was run with.

This history is stored with Apple's CloudKit in the private database of your own iCloud account, so it survives reinstalling the app and appears on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. The data goes to your account rather than to us, we have no access to it, and its handling is covered by Apple's privacy policy as well as this one.

Signing out of iCloud, or turning iCloud off for ENYO in system settings, stops the sync. The app keeps working and the history stays on the device. Deleting a workout in the app deletes it from your iCloud too.

Popular workouts

When you finish a named workout, such as Fran or a Halloween workout, the app adds one anonymous count to Apple's public CloudKit database: the workout's name and the date, nothing about who ran it. These counts are what the app uses to show which workouts are popular this week.

Apple Health

If you turn on Save to Health, finished workouts are written to Apple Health on your device. The app only writes workouts. It does not read your health data, and nothing from Apple Health is sent to us, to TelemetryDeck or to anyone else. You can turn this off at any time in the app or in the Health app.

What we share

We do not sell, rent or share personal data. The only third-party service in the app is TelemetryDeck, for the anonymous usage statistics described above. Everything else uses Apple's own services.

Permissions

The app asks for permission to write workouts to Apple Health only if you turn that on. It plays sound through the standard audio system and triggers haptics on devices that support them. It does not use the microphone, the camera, your location, your contacts or your motion sensors.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages. It asks no one for personal information, and the usage statistics it sends are anonymous for every user.

Your choices

You can delete any workout in the app, turn off iCloud sync for ENYO, turn off Save to Health, sign out, or delete the app, which removes everything stored on the device. To ask a question about your data, write to us at the address below.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date above. A change to what the app collects also requires an app update, which goes through App Store review.
